The point of the RTX 5070 Ti is memory and bandwidth: 16 GB of GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus, below the price of the 5080. It is the first card in this generation's lineup that clears our VRAM bar for the ultra tier.
4K with upscaling, 1440p without compromise
We expect 1440p at ultra settings with room to spare, and 4K with DLSS Quality or Balanced. That is a significant capability for a card with a 300 W power draw.
Power and the rest of the build
300 W is manageable, but it does ask for a quality power supply and decent airflow. A CPU in the high tier or better keeps it from being held back at lower resolutions.
5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 XT?
These are direct rivals. The Nvidia card has DLSS 4 and a mature ray-tracing ecosystem; the AMD card has FSR 4 and is competitive in rasterization. The right choice depends on whether GTA 6 supports the features you care about.
Why 16 GB on a 256-bit bus feels different
The memory bus is the width of the pipe between the GPU and its memory, and the 5070 Ti has a 256-bit pipe carrying fast GDDR7. A 12 GB card on a 192-bit bus can match its raw speed in some games, but when textures are large and constantly streaming, the wider bus and bigger pool are what keep frame times even.
Choosing a partner model
For a 300 W card the cooler matters. Look for a model with a large heatsink and three fans if your case allows it, check the length, and confirm which power connector the card uses before you order.
DLSS quality modes explained
DLSS renders at a lower internal resolution and reconstructs the image. Quality mode uses about two thirds of the output resolution on each axis, Balanced about 58 percent, and Performance half. At 4K output, Quality therefore renders at 1440p internally. For this card, Quality at 4K is the sweet spot, with Balanced as the fallback if a particular scene is demanding.
